Thanks for shipping the cactus juice promptly,-thought I'd be using it before now.

I have finally gotten all the pieces of things needed to stabilize some wood knife scales.  Quite a lot involved before doing the actual cactus juice ,

I am planning on the first cactus juice this fri and have a    couple of questions you probably can answer.

I cut all my knife scales  1 1/8 "x 1 5/8"

cooked them in the toaster oven to dry.  Bagged them-

Is it ok to stabilize them in this size and then after cured ,- slice those blocks down to 3/8" to have book matched scales ?

Or--slice them BEFORE curing to 3/8" ?     Does it even matter??

I don't want to have them sliced into bookmatched pairs and get them all mixed up w/o having them marked.

If you think it is better to slice them to final size before stabilizing/curing I would do that but how would you mark them pairs?

What would one mark them with that would with stand the juice activity and possible dissolving  say a sharpie marker?

Great service, follow up, and a great product. Can't ask for much more than that!

I purchased a 6x10 inch stabilization tank and love it.  Just stack the blanks on end, install the retaining plate, fill with Cactus Juice and sit back and watch the bubbles.   The stabilized blanks are much easier to drill and turn with the sanding and finishing process a breeze.  Saves time and money in the future by stabilizing your blanks and not paying premium prices for commercial stabilized blanks.  6 inch tank will work to stabilize small bowl blanks as well as pepper shaker size blanks.

Stabilized some blue pine, which is very soft, and then turned some stunning dyed pen and letter opener sets.  Friends loved them.  Even stabilized a corncob.  Turned out great.

Turn-Tex Cactus Juice is a great stabilizing agent.  I use it for stabilizing buckeye burl and results are really good.  Service and product are excellent.

This is my first attempt at stabilizing wood and I went with the recommendations found in YouTube videos regarding the stabilizing material.  I purchased my Cactus Juice from TurnTex and found the process simple and fast.  When the product arrived, it was packaged properly to withstand the riggers that comes from the shipping processes.  Great job and I will continue to use TurnTex when I need more Cactus Juice,.

Being a new turner and wanting to learn as much as possible before spending the dollars, Curtis is the best source of good information on the "how to" of stabilizing and casting, the do's and don'ts and the right equipment "proven" to work. I have his casting tank, the vacuum pump dryer adapter and will not buy Alumilite or Cactus Juice from anyone but him, period. After cooking my temperature sensor cable due to my own neglect, TurnTex sent me out a cable at no charge.  I'm not entirely surprised, having grown up in Texas, but this is above and beyond service.  I can't recommend this business enough.

I have now bought Cactus Juice and Alumilite from TurnTex.  I had not left a review before because I had to wait until our night temps stayed above 50F to actually use the products.  Both products work very well.  I used the Cactus Juice to stabilize pine cones, peach pits and worthless wood that I had.  The results have been great

Curtis at TurnTex has been great from start to finish on my order. Not only that, he provides customer service and information long after your purchase. I had bought a few cheaper stabilization chambers prior to ordering mine from TurnTex. Ironically, I was using Cactus Juice to stabilize the woods. Both of the chambers I bought from competitors failed. I then set out to put an order in with Curtis. There is a 6 week waiting period because he custom builds each chamber to order. It was well worth the wait. These are the best chambers and they are built by the most respected guy in the wood stabilization industry. Had I known this prior, I would have bought my chambers directly from Curtis. You live, you learn. Curtis stands behind his product and I have met many who have guided me along the way to attest to this. Buy the best, buy it first. Don't be like me.

I ordered a quart of Cactus Juice resin to stabilize some burl and black palm, and within 24 hours it had shipped, and it arrived incredibly fast. Besides being the manufacturer of Cactus Juice, they are also the cheapest supplier that I could find. After receiving the easy-to-use bottle, I was also able to contact TurnText to receive insightful advice to help in my stabilization. I'd definitely recommend buying some from them!

Everytime I order something from Turntex I get a great product and great customer service. My last order was for a vacuum chamber. It took a bit longer to get it than I expected but Curtis explained that he was a bit behind due to personal family issues. I respect a man who puts his family first. His products are the best on the market. Curtis provides endless support to the stabilizing community through participation in facebook groups and gives the best advice even if it does not lead to a sale.

How a company does business says a lot about the integrity of its ownership.  Having dealt with TurnTex over the last several years and most recently within the last month I can unequivocally vouch for their Superior Product Quality and Customer Service. Curtis and his staff are very helpful and quiding.  More so, they are nice, honest people that readily deserve your business.

I am new to stabilizing wood and need as much data as I can get to dive into this new phase of wood turning. I found Curtis to be a wealth of information. He is very generous with his time and knowledge. I am glad I contacted him and am looking forward to processing my first batch of stabilized blanks. I have a bunch of wood that looks like it will be fantastic But it is in need of stabilization to become a high quality pen. i just got time to open shipment from you surprised to find that the jug of part B was not as full as part A poured out part A till jug was same level as part B surprised that there was about 250 grams less in part B jug no spillage in shipment so the jug was not filled at your end very disappointed because this will short me at the end of the jugs cant be that much of a weight different between part A and part B

My comment:  Alumilite Clear is sold by weight, not volume.  You ordered an 8# kit which is 4# of A and 4# of B as stated in the description.  Part B of Alumilite has a higher specific gravity and, as such, will have less in the bottle.  This is why Alumilite Clear is ONLY to be mixed by weight and not volume.  I guarantee the bottle was filled properly and that you will end up with just the right amount when you finish the jugs!

I've ordered a few times and have always had quick response and great service.  The web site have a great resource section that shows Curtis is very willing to share his knowledge and experience.
