I recently got into wood turning and find this product works great in stabilizing wood for turning and mixing of epoxy resign with various woods for both turning and other projects. Worked so well, I reorder more. 

I am very well satisfied with your products and color of the cactus juice  I'm using for my blanks. The only gripe I have is not even your product but it's with the alumilite. The Caps are absolutely impossible to get off. Tried pushing down and turn in as stated and literally had to use a pipe wrench then I literally just cut the Caps off. Again nothing to do with your products but the alumilite jugs lids do not come off very easily. Other than that love your products and just ordered some mica powders and some red alumilite dye to broaden my color patterns. Thank you

I've ordered many times now from Turntex and have never been let down yet. All the resins, dyes, powders as well as other products always work great and look amazing. They've helped me create some truly awesome pieces and I'm sure my customers would agree as well. You won't find better products, prices and definitely not any better customer service from anywhere else so don't waste your time. Curtis is beyond helpful and genuinely a great person. Ordered some stuff to complete a project and was surprised at how fast my order was shipped to me! Still have more stuff to order in near future and won’t hesitate to order again. Outstanding customer service and nothing but great products. 

There is no replacement for face-to-face when you want to know the people behind the label.  We do so much online that we don't get much chance to get that human connection anymore.  And now with the COVID-19 virus injecting social distancing and no-contact purchases, we can look forward to even less contact.

With that said, I want to share with you a short story about quality humans behind the TurnTex brand.  In January 2020 I was on vacation from Maryland to Buda Texas.  It was there that I noticed Cactus Juice was sourced from TurnTex, which just so happens to be right down I-35 apiece. On our way back from visiting friends in San Antonio I started to message Curtis on Facebook.  No answer.  Tried again, no answer.  By the time we got to his exit, we decided to "drop in" and see what happens. The approach is a typical hill country ranch down a long dirt road.  For me, very comforting. Several workers were in the yard. My friend and I got out and were welcomed warmly. "Curtis is in the shop", was their reply. So casual, we found our way to his shop unescorted. No answer explained, Curtis was busy on his computer and did not see my messages!  But he stood right up, dropped what he was doing, and proceeded to spend an hour helping two casting and stabilizing newbies, understand the process, the TurnTex products, and nuances of each. Curtis introduced us to his production staff and answered any question without reservation. We left with a human connection to the people behind the brand.

Finally, several months into a national lockdown over the COVID-19 virus, 10%+ unemployment, and even worse economic impact on the thousands of self-employed crafts people, we see on the TurnTex website a product sale openly offering anyone so negatively impacted to request a steep discount, maybe below cost. And Curtis's words asking readers "to be honest".

WOW!  For me, evidence of quality human beings that reinforced, no punctuated my first impression.  The way a neighbor should treat a neighbor.  With TurnTex, the world is his neighborhood and he's putting it all out there.

The TurnTex website is very helpful.  I used it as a resource for information to learn more about stabilizing wood and using Alumilite products.  Ordering was easy and the feedback emails about my order were accurate.  Everything arrived faster than I expected and the vacuum stabilizing chamber is well made. I'll be ordering from TurnTex  again.

I am a woodworker on my part time to try to make money on the side to help pay for things we need as a family. I was wating money on to dry punky wood. Cactus juice really works and I saved wood that most of the time I would have lost

Havent had a chance to start casting yet but almost have all my stuff. I ordered some alumilite and it came in in good shape and fast.

I’ve been using Cactus Juice for about a year now, it is top quality stuff always giving quality results. With all the knife shows closing due to the Covid-19 pandemic is nice to know there is a brand you can trust, that always has your back.

Excellent and fast service. Curtis has provide excellent support to pen turners for years both through IAP and his own site here. Not only was my order shipped right away but he honored the gift certificate I won that he had graciously donated to the IAP bash five years ago.  (What can I say, I'm getting back into casting again)  Casting with Alumilte Clear is nearly instant gratification with 1- 1/2 - 2 hr. demold time and you know it's fresh stock when you buy it here. Highly recommended!

I have been using Cactus Juice for around 5 years.  I use it to stabilize various types of Burl wood as well as other types of wood that are not as dense as I would like.  I have never been disappointed with this product, I always get great results.

Curtis is a one man show. I have asked questions and personally talked to him on the phone about his product and is extremely helpful. You're not just buying from a company, but a person. He truly does care about his customers.

I love working with wood, and this product is a game changer.  For me it's the best of both worlds being able to stabilize & even dye woods--even with multiple colors!--while enjoying the stability of resin.  Curtis & his TurnTex crew are fully invested in the community that this product supports, and that's pretty awesome to watch. ?

I had been reading about Cactus Juice for some time and decided to order.  i couldn't have been more pleased with the service: courteous responses, quick turnaround, and admirable corporate policies.  What more could a craft maker want.

I don't have a lot of experience using the products yet however I found it easy to use the first time around.  I have the TurnTex chamber and CJ.  I read the instructions several times and had one quick question answered and it was off and running.  Curtis has his act together with the service and products.  I'm looking forward to diving deeper into stabilizing.  

I just wasted 180 bucks. Really Bummed. . I used another product in the past and it worked fine. I switched over and gave it a test and it bubbled and disfigured like crazy.  I tested it several times and it continued to do the same thing. Just pouring it in a small cup and it fizzed. I have a bunch of art work i like to cover but it looks like you have to have a vacuum chamber etc. etc. for it to work..  Just lost 180 bucks . 

My Reply:  This customer purchased Alumilite Clear and failed to read the description, specifically this part "Alumilite Clear has a 7min open time and pressure casting is recommended to achieve bubble free results."  I replied to an e-mail from him asking what went wrong that he needed pressure.  He was using an epoxy in the past which is NOT the same as Alumilite Clear which is a urethane.  Using as directed, he would have had the results he was looking for.

I am using the stabilizing solution for some bowls I am turning, I found  it takes quite a bit for a few bowls that are spalted. The product is easy to use and cleans up easily, just make sure you have good ventilation. I drain my bowls on a grate before wrapping for the oven.

I like many started with a cheaper vacuum chamber step up.  I saved up the money to order a bigger chamber from TurnTex and there is not a comparison when it comes to not only fit and finish but actual performance.  I loaded the 6x16 up with as much wood as i could to test it out and it performed flawlessly.  It pulled the vacuum in a shorter time period with the exact same pump.  I never got any one bigger bubbles that I would get from the other chamber which I always suspected were due to bad seal someplace.

I love the way this performs and will only get future chambers from Curtis and Turn Tex.

TurnTex / Curtis is a company that stands out in a sea of mediocre (or worse) companies who's only interest is getting at your money. Besides the products being great (and the industry standard), Curtis and his website provide all the information you need to use the products to their full potential, the warrantees and guarantees are as good as it gets, and you can actually get someone on the phone or an email without pain and suffering. Never had any issue with the vacuum chamber or the Juice or dyes. All have performed as advertised flawlessly. My orders have all shipped quickly and arrived well packaged. Before switching to cactus juice, I used standard hardware store wood hardener. The quality here is so much better and it is practically odorless while it cures in the oven, which may have saved my marriage. Thanks!

everything was as advertised and received in bot good time and condition. Since i have not done any stabilization yet, I will be utilizing tutorials. Very highly recommend Turn Tex. 

Curtiss answered the phone just minutes before closing. He spent a considerable amount of time discussing with me the various properties between Alumilite Clear and Slow explaining the pros and cons of each for various applications. He further provided numerous tips for ensuring success as I delve into the casting process.

Ordered the gallon size of Alumilite Clear. Order place on Thursday, it was processed on Friday, I had delivery on Monday.  

With Curtiss's patience and willingness to share his knowledge I have every confidence that my casting efforts will be successful with far fewer "learning opportunities" than if I had watched YouTube videos.

Just got my second jug of Cactus Juice. Amazing how well it works when you do ALL of the steps that Curtis has listed. 

I think I've got a better handle now on ALL of the steps to successful dry blanks. I have them posted in the mixing area of my shop so I don't have to rely on my 68 year old memory cells...
