I have been using CA fodr years to stabilize my spalted maple blanks that I use in the lids of our boxes (http://hamiltonroberts.com/on-hand-gallery/d-04-spalted-maple-in-bubinga) and am tired of sanding that CA! Will the resin make it a bit more enjoyable? I'm concerned about it "melting" when sanding on a 60 and 150 grit belt and then various hand sanders. Should I be concerned?

Stabilizing your material will certainly make thing much better than trying to do it with CA!  Not only will the cost be less, it will also do a better, more thorough job.  As for melting...Cactus Juice is heat resistant to 390° F and does not gum up sanding belts for the knife makers out there who use it similarly on a daily basis.
