This is a quick video to show the proper way to drill pen blanks, especially resin blanks, on a drill press. Notice how I frequently retract the bit to clear the chips and take small bites. For the video, I used a clear blank for demonstration purposes. I am using a sharp bit and drilling at about 2,000 rpm. Doing it this way, I can honestly say I have never blown out a pen blank. This video has no narration since I have the dust collector running and did not want to yell!
