I haven't turned in a while, but I still have a lot of turning blanks, and a lot of them need this.  But the primary reason I bought this, was because I was restoring an old Stanley No 40, hand plane, and the knob and tote, were extremely weathered and none of my attempts to fix the wood helped.  Cactus Juice was the exact thing that they needed.  It's easy and straightforward to use and, since it's heat activated, you don't waste any, just pour the rest back into the container.  https://youtu.be/pbMl3WfDs80

I just stabilized my first couple of pieces using Cactus Juice. All the guidance on the Turntex website was so helpful; very pleased with the results, though I was surprised that I was still getting bubbles after five days! I did have a couple of questions during the process and Curtis was right there with clear concise answers - sometimes so quickly it was scary. I will be back!

I haven't used the product yet but the customer service is amazing!! I really appreciate the quick response.

I haven’t had a chance to use the cactus juice yet. But there were no problems with my order or shipment.

I got the email that my Cactus Juice had shipped the day that I ordered it.  I’ve got handle scale blanks sitting in the vacuum chamber right now, so we’ll see if the product is as good as the service but if it is I know I will be satisfie.

Purchased the chamber from Turntex couple of years ago. So far ave used it to stabilize spalted, punky or porous blanks for turning pens. Works very welll and makes a world of difference in the blanks I can turn.

Curtis is very responsive, his website and YouTube channel are a great source of information for turners. Will definitely be back for more.

Purchased the Oven Tamer II for drying wood, and curing Cactus Juice. Couldn't be happier. The Oven Tamer does a perfect job of maintaining the set temperature, and as advertised when set at the proper temperature the resin stays in the wood, and doesn't leak out as much. Have ran several batches through now, and am very pleased with the results. Plus the safety factor of knowing the oven will not overheat and catch your wood on fire is the number one reason why I purchased this. The owner Curtis is very helpful, and quick to answer any questions you may have. The master of stabilization.

As they say, spend a little extra now or spend a lot later (like I did). Quality is worth it. These pots are so perfectly engineered, but it is the things you may not hear about:

• Superb customer service
• A detailed instructional manual
• A master of vacuum pump information for when yours sieze up
• The hose has quick--release fittings unlike others I have read about
• Anti-tip ring so it will stay secure on your bench

Really impressed with the quality of materials used and the workmanship in this pump saver. It is cheap insurance for your vacuum pump.

I make custom wa-handles (Kenscustomhandles) and I wanted to start stabilizing my own wood. Your website seems to be the only site that supports DYI vacuum chamber efforts. First time ordering from TurnTex and was pleased with the product and service. Shipping was quick even though the carrier had issues. Will definitely be back to order more. 

If you want the best chamber for stabilizing, this is the place to get it. This is not an "Amazon Prime, 2 day shipping" type of operation. There is a wait time posted on the page and it was pretty close....up front honesty. I placed 2 separate orders and told them to just hold it and ship it together....done. Very nice product....no junk. Need technical help? Fast email response and he will answer the phone, although I will only call in case of emergency as I don't want to delay someone else getting their tank. Plain English....Great company to deal with.

 

I had an issue that was my own fault with the cactus juice, which I bought from another supplier. They were unable to help me. I contacted TurnTex, explained the situation, and they solved my problem without hesitatio, even though they had no obligation to. Their customer service is the absolute best I have ever encountered. I am just getting into turning stabilized woodd, and was a little apprehensive because of the limited number of resources to really commit to it, but after dealing with TurnTex I have no reason to hesitate. I highly recommend using them for all your supplies. By the way stanilized wood is so nice to work with, and the results can be pretty spectacular. 

I live in a rural area and I know I can count on fast delivery of stabilizing resin.

My experiences with ordering from TurnTex have been outstanding.  I had one issue with the website while trying to place an order and the owner responded to my help request very promptly and was helpful.  The information in the Help Center tab is outstanding and has enabled me to have a lot of success creating fun and unique blanks.

Despite the shipper crushing the box the contents were so well packed that everything inside was undamaged.
