I don't often leave feedback.  However this company is the best!  Their shipping is fast and reasonable.  I called with a question and I actually received a phone call back.  I was treated courteously and with respect.  Their product is top notch and have already purchased 10 gallons of the cactus juice and 16lbs of the Alumilite.  I will be a long term customer for sure.

Curtis was so very helpful choosing the right products for my needs, and saving money on unneeded items. It was like talking with a trusted friend. There is all the information on his web site to get you going but he still patiently answered all my questions. I'm very pleased.

my order was processed and on my porch in just a few days and was correct in every way.

I have recently been interested in casting my own pen blanks.  After quite a bit of research I decided to go with Alumilite.  I have turned PR blanks before and I am not a fan, the smell, how brittle they are, I just do not like the PR.  I bought some of your Cactus Juice (which I love btw) and had a good experience with you when I purchased that.  I wanted to continue to give my business to Curtis when I decided to purchase the Alumilte Clear.  Between the fast response to questions on my previous order, fair pricing, and the quality of the product, I will definitely be restocking here.  

Thank you for your excellent service and products.  I bought both the stabilizing and casting chemicals along with some dyes on the recommendation of a long-time friend.  Followed your instructions to a T with my first stabilization - Black Ash Burl - and it went PERFECT.  Even put some reddish-orange dye in it.  The blanks were soft and porous when I started and now are rock hard and heavy.  I will be using your products and recommending them to others.

I love the resin! I gave a presentation today to 140 woodwokers in Columbus, Ohio on wood stabilizing. I recommended your products and website.

I think I've looked at every video containing your "Cactus Juice".  I have many uses for it to stabilize porous stone, primarily opal, but occasionally turquoise, rhyolite and even some petrified wood.  Its always interesting to me the amount of crossover from one industry to another.  There's a museum that has developed various polymers for sale that they needed in there lab for stabilizing fragile fossils.  Their products however are very pricey.  I guess they operate under a different paradigm than others?  Of course I got the "Juice" and a vacuum seal broke on the vacuum machine.  (Argg) I'll tell you how it goes when I'm up and running again.

I recently placed my first order after watching several you tube videos and doing a good bit of reading about turntex. Since I am in Texas about 200 miles or so from turnex shipping was very fast. Cactus juice arrived very well packaged. I tried some spalted maple pen blanks for my first try. Followed the directions and everything went very well. The blanks turned out to weigh about 2 1/2 times what they were when I started. Turned one pen as a test and it was more like turning acrylic than wood. I intend to stabilize some wood for other projects. When I need to I will be ordering from turntex again.

I recently placed my first order for Cactus Juice, dye and some vac pot components. The service was fast and communications on my shipment was great.

I liked the products and service so well, I just pre ordered a 6 inch pot.

I ordered the Cactus Juice after I purchased a qt bottle to try out. I just stabilized some high quality redwood burl I Cannot wait to get it on the lathe. I will be back at another time with some pics.

Curtis not only makes the best vacuum chamber for small wood turning projects, but is great at answering questions and giving advice.  If he is available to answer the telephone, you will get more help and advice that you thought was possible.

I make custom knives and stabilize my own knife scales.  I have dealt with Curtis Seebeck on a few occasions and have always found him to be very helpful and professional. Products have always been shipped in a very timely manner.   He will go above and beyond what most vendors do to help his customers.  I will continue to do my business with TurnTex Woodworks as long as I make knives.

A handshake and a smile knowing there is a personal commitment to deliver outstanding products, along with support, followup and standby late into the evening if necessary is a good ol' way to do business. 

Curtis, Just received your blanks and as usual they look great. The key to making these blanks is to not overheat per your instructions. If you use CA glue to cement in the brass tubing, do not use an accelerant to speed up the process. It causes the heat to build up and causes foging to occur. After drilling the hole in the center I use a Q tip and some denatured alcohol to clean out the inside. The key is to keep the heat from building up. These pens are one of my top sellers. Mike

I ordered my vacuum chamber and Cactus Juice from Curtis awhile back and received them in mid-late March/early April. There was also a conference in Wadsworth, Ohio where Curtis would be speaking. So I decided to wait until after that before I used either product. 

Honestly I'm glad I did, having him explain a lot of these processes, and the science behind them allowed me to have a clearer understanding of what was happening when I stabilized wood and why.

Since the conference I had to use customer support at Turntex, and I have to say again how great Curtis was in not only helping me resolve my problem, but making sure it wouldn't happen again.

His understanding on how his product Cactus Juice, interacts with Alumilite resins and dyes will be very helpful when I start casting worthless wood, and dying wood as well.

If you find these reviews first, I suggest you read the documents in the help center/directions and tutorials. Your will find a LOT of useful information there, on building molds, and racks for your pressure pot these include a materials and cut list so 85% of the work is done for you free of charge.

Curtis is also a member of several Facebook turning, resin blanks, and stabilized pages. If you can't find the answers to your question here, then contact him there, or pm/ text him. Few companies dedicate the time and energy to help customers and non-customers like Curtis at TurnTex does.

I was pretty familiar with the Turn Tex offerings as I watched all of his tutorial and read all of his help topics.  I then got the chance to visit with Curtis and that solidified my desire to get into the stabilizing business.  I placed my order and about 5 days later my order showed up.  I will continue to watch the tutorials until I get used to everything.  Thanks Curtis for making this a simple process to get into the stabilizing world.  Dan

I have been making knives for 5 years now and got tired of using sub standard handle material or paying someone else for things that i can do myself. I purchased some parts to make my own chamber and i am very pleased. Pricing was decent, handling and shipping was fast and i'm now well on my way to turning out a better product.

This is an awesome product. I have just started turning hunting calls and heard about cactus juice so thought I would give it a try and wow. I have some trees that have fallen over the years and are dry and  rotten And the cactus juice has turned them into some beautiful calls. I will definitely be a repeat customer. Once I got over the intimidation factor to not screw stuff up, it was easy! I bought a bunch of cheap exotic blanks at a wood show and after stabilizing, I had zero blow outs when I used to expect 20% of these blanks to blow out.

Through stabilization, I am able to save not only highly porous soft woods, but also expensive exotic burls with one-of-a-kind grain patterns. I don't cuss near as much in the shop anymore!

I just got my order from TURNTEX in the process of setting up my vacuum chamber and pressure pot. I will be stabilizing and doing some Alumilite on some of the knife handles. I appreciate the videos, the QA, and knowing that Curtis is available if I need him.

After placing my order, I was pleased to hear from the company with a thank you for ordering, I felt the thank you was a personal one, and not a robo-response, so I replied to it, and lo and behold it WAS real, and the followup was just as personal..  This makes me feel confident that I am dealing one to one, just as we did in years past, when we would go to brick and mortar stores to pick up what was needed for a project.  I only wish I needed to place another order, just to enjoy the friendliness of the company..  The good news is that I will need to order soon enough..   Thank you for being as close to a Brick and Mortar as a web page could be!

I noticed your question answered that you shipped to Hawaii!!! Guess what? Most times when we order stuffs from vendors on the mainland and other places, the statement is always "No shipping to Hawaii and Alaska".  I own a business and ship all over the mainland with no problems.
