Lifetime Warranty!

TurnTex, LLC creates the finest quality, durable, and reliable products on the market. As a result, if your JuiceProof Stabilizing Chamber ever breaks down for any reason, simply contact me and I will either send you the parts necessary (such as gauges, hoses, or o-rings) or will send you a label to ship it back to me at my expense.   If it can be fixed, I will fix it and if it can't I'll replace it at no cost to you! This includes the complete chamber and all parts that come with the chamber including the gauge, gasket, hose, and all fittings. I stand by my chambers for a lifetime and since I've been making stabilizing chambers longer than anyone, that's a guarantee you can stand by!

Of course this warranty does not cover discoloration or damage due to misuse, abuse, or use of chemicals other than heat cured stabilizing resins like Cactus Juice.

This warranty if fully transferable and retroactive to any JuiceProof Chamber I have made!

USACactus Juice Stabilizing Resin is a premium, professional grade, heat cured resin for stabilizing and hardening wood and other porous material. It is especially effective on those beautiful, punky, spalted woods that are just too soft to work with! Cactus Juice is easy to use and does not significantly change the color of most woods. Cactus Juice is not toxic or flammable and is NOT solvent based and as a result, cures 99.99% from liquid to solid by weight, far superior to typical home stabilizing solutions such as Minwax Wood Hardener or polyurethane. Stop throwing away those punky blanks and give Cactus Juice a try!

This size of Cactus Juice is shipped unactivated with the activator in a separate bottle. This is so you can control the shelf life.  The 1 year guaranteed shelf life begins when you activate your Cactus juice, not when it is shipped like other resins that are already activated.  Activating is simple, just open the small bottle, fill 3/4 full with Cactus Juice, shake well, and dump the contents into the large bottle. Replace the cap and shake well. If some of the activator particles do not dissolve, allow it to sit for an hour and shake again. YOU MUST ACTIVATE THE ENTIRE BOTTLE! I do not support trying to activate portions of the bottle since it is difficult to properly proportion the semi paste activator. If you decide to do it anyway, you are on your own if you have any issues with the Juice! Don't worry, activated Cactus Juice has a guaranteed shelf life of at least 12 months while the un-activated shelf life is 3 years.

JB Royal Original

KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

  • Warm casting molds if applicable.
  • Using a mixing cup, add parts A and B and then mix well for THREE minutes or until no striations can be seen.
  • If using separate cups for measuring, pour resin into the hardener cup.
  • Mix in any dyes or pigments if needed.
  • If further thinning of the resin is required then gently warm the mix with a heat gun or warming plate.
  • Pour resin in a thin stream holding the cup approximately 6” or more above the casting mold.
  • If no pressure casting is used then gently warm resin again with heat gun to help release bubbles.
  • For best results, place casting in a pressure pot at 40 PSI or higher and allow resin to cure for at least 12 hours before releasing pressure and demolding.
  • Cure times will vary depending on ambient temperature.
  • For clean-up, use Acetone or a specialty Epoxy Remover.

1.   Mix the resin in a HDPE painter’s mixing cup with ratio markings. These can be found at most hardware, paint stores, or autobody supply shops.    The ratio is 1:1 resin to hardener by volume, NOT weight. White caps are A and black are B. If the weather is cold you may want to warm the part A in a double boiler bath or some hot water keeping the water temp below 120°F.

2.   Use a paint mixer at low RPM to mix the resin until all striations are gone. It may help to use a light

overhead and behind you to see these lines. The mixer looks like a propeller with a circle around the outer edge and are attached to a drill. When attaching the mixer make sure that the drills direction advances the blades lower edge leading the direction of turning. Mixing in this way should result in very few bubbles.

Note: If you find you have excessive bubbles it may be related to one of the following issues:

a.   RPM of drill is too high.

b.   Lifting the mixer up and down in the column and allowing more air to be dragged in.

c.   Tilting the cup back and forth too much and again allowing air to be pulled in by the mixer.

d.   Using a wide cup with a small amount of resin so that the mixer cannot be submerged properly. e.   The drill is moving the blade in the wrong direction.

3.   Once mixed use a heat gun on low heat and gently warm the resin. This will make the resin more fluid and increase the pressure of the bubbles to want to escape from the resin. Be very careful not to “cook” or “smoke” the resin. Keep the heat gun moving back and forth quickly and don’t keep it blowing on a single spot and don’t overheat in general. This can cause the resin to cure too quickly, thicken, and likely be brittle or unable to be poured.

4.   When pouring the resin pour it “high and thin”. Hold the cup 6” or more above the mold and pour a very thin stream in the edge/corner of the mold. This helps by allowing air bubbles to escape as you are pouring.

5.   Once in the mold another gentle pass with the heat gun helps as well.

6.   Another tip for helping remove bubbles is using an orbital disk sander with no paper set next to molds to help vibrate out any potential bubbles.

7.   Place in a pressure pot if you will be using one.

Attention:  All JuiceProof Vacuum Chambers are custom made to order in house from parts manufactured in house.  Parts for chambers are made in production runs and then inventory is added to the site and chambers are made available to order based on the number of parts available.  If the chamber size you are interested in shows out of stock, you can add your e-mail to the waiting list by clicking the blue button on the the specific size chamber page and you will be notified the moment more parts are available based on your position on the list.  I complete parts production runs on a regular basis so the wait is usually not very long.
If the chamber you are interested in shows in stock and available to order, that simple means I have sufficient inventory of parts to complete a chamber for you.  Each chamber is custom made to order after you complete the purchase.  Your payment method will be charged in full when you complete the transaction since chambers are a custom made item.  Once the order is complete, your chamber will go into production and is subject to the estimated lead time shown.  In almost all cases, chambers will ship within the estimated lead time or sooner but occasionally, things may occur that are beyond my control that may cause a delay.  When that happens, I will do my best to notify you but this is not a promise to do so!
Please do not e-mail or call prior to the end of the estimated lead time asking when your order will ship!  That just takes me away from production and causes further delays.  When your order ships, you will receive an e-mail with tracking information.  If your estimated lead time has passed, please check your spam folder for this shipping notification e-mail prior to contacting us to make sure the e-mail did not go to spam letting you know that it has already shipped.

A note on the UPS estimated delivery date when you choose your shipping method.  UPS has no idea when we will actually ship.  The estimated delivery date assumes we will be shipping the day you order which is NOT the case with chambers.  As a result, their estimated delivery date WILL BE WRONG!

Thank you!

I personally reply to all e-mails but it may take a few days due to the volume of e-mails I receive.  If you have not received a reply from me within a few days, please check your spam folder or call me!  To help make sure my reply and future e-mails are delivered without issue, please see the suggestions below.

Add My E-mail Address to Your Email Safe Senders List, Address Book or Contact List.

Emails are frequently blocked or filtered into the junk folder especially now that email filters are focusing more strongly on or commercial mail. As a result of these changes you may be unable to read certain email communications even if I am just replying to you!

To avoid these situations, add my email addresses to your Safe Senders List. Below is a list of the most commonly used email programs with easy to follow instructions on how to add email addresses to your Safe Senders List.

Please add either the From Address that the email you received came from OR add the domain @turntex.com to your Address Book or Contacts to make sure you receive my e-mails!

What is an Email Safe Senders List?

Each email program features spam filters which automatically recognize white-listed and blacklisted email addresses. White-listed addresses are deemed acceptable and mail from these addresses is usually delivered to the inbox without additional filtering.  Blacklisted addresses are senders from which you do not wish to receive email communication from. The Safe Senders List, also commonly referred to as a White List, is a list of all email addresses you would like to receive email from without impediment.

Your Safe Senders List is managed by you within your email program and can be easily updated based on your preferences.  By default, email messages that you add to your own personal address book are considered safe and will not be re-routed to your junk email folder.

TurnTex, LLC is a full time small American business that provides the primary source of income for a family of 3 and two full time employee.  As such, your complete satisfaction with my products and service is very important to me.  I believe in treating my customers with respect as I would want to be treated and fully believe in the honor system.  You are my most important asset and I hope you always feel that I have treated you that way!

Payments, Returns, Order Confirmation

Payments

I accept credit card, Paypal, and checks or money orders.  All financial transactions are handled through a 256bit encrypted connection and your credit card information is never sent to or stored on my server in any way.  As a matter of fact, I do not even have access to your credit card information at any time.

Returns for Unused Items

Simply put, I will accept returns for a full refund (less shipping) on any unused, undamaged, resellable item you purchase from my normal inventory as long as I am in business, even if you just no longer want or need it!  Special orders will be dealt with on a case by case basis.  Please contact me for a return authorization and instructions.

Order Confirmation

You will receive an email confirmation from my system when you place your order and another once your order has been shipped.  If your order includes any pre-order items, I do not send out updates so please e-mail or call if you need an update on your order status.  Be sure to add info (at) Turntex.com to your contacts or safe senders list so your spam filter will not block these e-mails.

Shipping

Shipping Policy

I strive really hard to pack and ship all orders for in stock items within 24 hours or less.  In most cases, your order will ship within 1 hour of placing the order during normal business hours.  I have daily pickup from both US Postal Service and UPS.  The pickup time for USPS is 11:15 am and UPS is 5:00 pm.  An order placed before those times will likely get on the truck that same day.  Any orders place Saturday or Sunday will ship the following US Business day.  As soon as the shipping label is printed for your order, you will be sent an e-mail that will contain the tracking number for your package(s).  Please be sure to add info (at) turntex.com to your contact or safe senders list so these e-mails will not be be blocked by your spam filter! This e-mail is completely automated so if you do not get an e-mail from me, you will certainly find it in your spam folder!

Domestic Shipping Methods

Domestic orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail or UPS per your choice.  I do not believe in profiting from shipping so I only charge my actual discounted shipping cost plus the related Paypal costs and do not charge any handling or packaging fees.

International Orders

I welcome orders from all over the World.  All international orders will be shipped via UPS Worldwide Expedited or USPS Priority Mail.  Orders that are shipped to countries outside the United States may be subject to import taxes, customs tariffs, and fees levied by the destination country. These charges are the customer's sole responsibility.   I have no control over these charges and am unable to estimate them. Tariffs and taxes are neither collected nor included in your price calculation at the time of your order; for an estimate of these fees, which vary by region, contact the customs office in your area.

You are responsible for ensuring that the product can be lawfully imported to the destination country. When ordering from TurnTex, LLC the recipient is the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country.  All international orders will be shipped with the required paperwork including the completed customs documentation, commercial invoice, and a copy of the MSDS.

Freight Collect Orders

When you check out, if your order is large enough, you will be given the option to have me ship in your UPS account.  Please provide your UPS account number in the comments section of the cart.  If you prefer to use your Fedex or other carrier account, you will need to create the label and e-mail it to me since I only have accounts with USPS and UPS.  You will also need to make arrangements for the carrier of your choice to pick up the package from my shop.  My shop is out of town and simply can not take the time running all over town trying to find the package drop off location for different carriers! I can contact the carrier on your behalf to arrange pickup but will need your account number since there will probably be a pickup fee.  Any pickup fees or additional fees from the carrier are your responsibility.  If you choose Freight Collect and do not provide a UPS account number or send a label, your order will be held until I get this information.

Charges for Incorrect Addresses/Undeliverable Orders

All orders that cannot be delivered and are returned to TurnTex, LLC for any reason will be charged any shipping costs incurred as well as the cost to re-ship the order to a corrected address provided by you.   If a refund is requested instead of re-shipping, the original cost of shipping will be deducted from the refund.  If the item is returned and I am unable to reach you for a corrected address, after 30 days, your order will be cancelled and your money, less the shipping cost and a 5% restocking fee will be refunded.  If an international order is returned due to any issues with customs in your country, I will refund the cost of the returned items to you less the cost of shipping.  You are responsible for checking the address provided at checkout to assure it is error free.  If paying with Paypal, my system does NOT check the address entered on my site against any Paypal address. We ship to the address provided during checkout only.

Back Orders

Occasionally, even with the best of efforts, my stock level can be off a little and some items may not be in stock even though the website shows they are.  All items will be held and shipped at one time.  I will let you know by e-mail if the back order delay is going to be more than 2 or 3 days.

Damaged or Lost Items

If your order has not been received within a reasonable amount of time after receiving the shipping confirmation e-mail or if it arrives damaged, please contact me.  Upon tracking the order, if I find that it is permanently lost or if it experienced damage, I will initiate any insurance claims available for you.  If a reasonable settlement is not able to be obtained from the delivery service in a reasonable amount of time, I will issue you a Credit Certificate for use on my site for the amount of the lost items plus shipping.

Pre-Orders, Estimated Lead Times, Notify Me

Pre-Order Items

If you order includes "pre-order" items (items that have to be made such as chambers) or items with an estimated lead time, your entire order will be shipped together once complete.  If you need to split orders and want me to ship the portion that is in stock right away, please place two separate orders, paying in full for the in stock items,  Additional shipping costs will apply.

Estimated Lead Times

Any item that has a stated Estimated Lead Time is an item that I actually manufacture myself.  Quality and attention to detail is the most important thing to me and I refuse to cut corners to get stuff out the door quickly. As a result, I frequently have a waiting list for some items.

This estimated lead time is an estimate only and in no way a guarantee of delivery time. It is nearly impossible for me to predict how production will go from day to day so it could be longer or shorter. I am the only one who makes these items and all it takes is one day out of the shop due to illness or taking a day off to spend with my family to completely mess up my schedule. If you are in a bind and need the item quickly, I may be able to accommodate your needs on a case by case basis. I DO NOT send updates on the status of your order as that would be counter productive! Please don't e-mail before the estimated lead time is past to ask where your order is. I don't mean to be rude but I will not reply to such e-mails due to time demands!

If, at any time, you get tired of waiting on your order and want to cancel, just let me know and I will issue a refund of any money paid right away. I very much appreciate your business and value you as a customer. Rest assured, I will diligently be working to complete your order in the shortest amount of time I can without compromising my high quality standards.

Notify Me

If you see the Notify Me button in place of the Add to Cart button on any item, that means I am temporarily out of stock on that item.  If you click the Notify Me button, you will be prompted to enter your e-mail address.  As soon as the item is back in stock and we update inventory, you will automatically be sent an e-mail letting you know.  Please be aware that this is just a notification list, not a waiting list.  In other words, availability of that item is not guaranteed when you actually go to the site to purchase.  If there is limited inventory, other customers may buy all items in stock before you get there!

Site Specific Policies

Security

I take internet security very seriously.  My entire site is running under an SSL certificate using the HTTPS protocol.  All information you enter on my site is transmitted between your computer and my server through a 256 bit encrypted connection to prevent data interception and misuse.  I spend a lot of money every year on a powerful dedicated server to make sure my site has adequate bandwidth and resources so the use of the SSL certificate does not slow down your shopping experience.

Privacy

I also take issues of privacy very seriously. I only ask for such information as is necessary to complete your order.  I will not sell or share your information with anyone at any time for any reason without your permission unless required by legal subpoenas.  When you create an account with me, your personal data is stored in an encrypted  database to prevent access to anyone but me.  I will not discuss who my customers are with other potential customers without your permission.  I also do not use any tracking software that tracks you movement once you leave my site like some of the larger sites do.

Family2thTurnTex, LLC is a small, full time family business located in Central Texas and the primary source of income for a family of three and two full time employee.  My name is Curtis O. Seebeck and I am the owner.  I take extreme pride in my workmanship and believe that nothing but the best quality, customer service, and support will suffice and believe in treating my customers with respect, better than I would expect to be treated.

TurnTex, LLC is the leading authority and a pioneer in the field of stabilizing and casting and has been at the forefront of this industry with the following innovations:

  • Cactus Juice Stabilizing Solutions - The first to offer affordable DIY stabilizing resin and dedicated vacuum chambers for all types of stabilizing needs.
  • Alumilite Casting Resin - The first to start using Alumilite Casting Resins for woodturning and helped make it a mainstream casting product.
  • Alumilite Clear Casting Resin - This formulation of Alumilite Casting Resin is based on my needs and feedback to the owner of The Alumilite Corporation.  I did all of the initial testing to develop the current product including testing 7 different versions until the properties that are important to woodworkers were achieved.
  • Worthless Wood - Otherwise commonly referred to as hybrid blanks, is the technique of casting wood and resin combinations to form a unique, hybrid blank.  This technique was originally created by me in 2006 and shared with the woodturning community through an article I wrote entitled "Worthless Wood - Salvaging Otherwise Worthless Wood with Pressure Casting".  This technique has been used by thousands of craftspeople around the world since that original article.
  • Original Cactus Blank™ - I was the first to cast prickly pear cactus in Alumilite Resin to create unique blanks for penturning, knife making, and other uses.

In addition to innovation, I am very active and interested in teaching stabilizing and casting around the country.  I have taught hundreds of people from around the world in my shop as well as at numerous clubs, schools, and symposiums including:
