I had been reading about Cactus Juice for some time and decided to order.  i couldn't have been more pleased with the service: courteous responses, quick turnaround, and admirable corporate policies.  What more could a craft maker want.

Curtis was very knowledgeable and helpful when placing our order.  He was able to answer all questions and make suggestions on color combinations.   He even invited us to join a Facebook group so we can see what others are able to create with color combinations.

I don't have a lot of experience using the products yet however I found it easy to use the first time around.  I have the TurnTex chamber and CJ.  I read the instructions several times and had one quick question answered and it was off and running.  Curtis has his act together with the service and products.  I'm looking forward to diving deeper into stabilizing.  

I just wasted 180 bucks. Really Bummed. . I used another product in the past and it worked fine. I switched over and gave it a test and it bubbled and disfigured like crazy.  I tested it several times and it continued to do the same thing. Just pouring it in a small cup and it fizzed. I have a bunch of art work i like to cover but it looks like you have to have a vacuum chamber etc. etc. for it to work..  Just lost 180 bucks . 

My Reply:  This customer purchased Alumilite Clear and failed to read the description, specifically this part "Alumilite Clear has a 7min open time and pressure casting is recommended to achieve bubble free results."  I replied to an e-mail from him asking what went wrong that he needed pressure.  He was using an epoxy in the past which is NOT the same as Alumilite Clear which is a urethane.  Using as directed, he would have had the results he was looking for.

I am using the stabilizing solution for some bowls I am turning, I found  it takes quite a bit for a few bowls that are spalted. The product is easy to use and cleans up easily, just make sure you have good ventilation. I drain my bowls on a grate before wrapping for the oven.

I like many started with a cheaper vacuum chamber step up.  I saved up the money to order a bigger chamber from TurnTex and there is not a comparison when it comes to not only fit and finish but actual performance.  I loaded the 6x16 up with as much wood as i could to test it out and it performed flawlessly.  It pulled the vacuum in a shorter time period with the exact same pump.  I never got any one bigger bubbles that I would get from the other chamber which I always suspected were due to bad seal someplace.

I love the way this performs and will only get future chambers from Curtis and Turn Tex.

TurnTex / Curtis is a company that stands out in a sea of mediocre (or worse) companies who's only interest is getting at your money. Besides the products being great (and the industry standard), Curtis and his website provide all the information you need to use the products to their full potential, the warrantees and guarantees are as good as it gets, and you can actually get someone on the phone or an email without pain and suffering. Never had any issue with the vacuum chamber or the Juice or dyes. All have performed as advertised flawlessly. My orders have all shipped quickly and arrived well packaged. Before switching to cactus juice, I used standard hardware store wood hardener. The quality here is so much better and it is practically odorless while it cures in the oven, which may have saved my marriage. Thanks!

Curtiss answered the phone just minutes before closing. He spent a considerable amount of time discussing with me the various properties between Alumilite Clear and Slow explaining the pros and cons of each for various applications. He further provided numerous tips for ensuring success as I delve into the casting process.

Ordered the gallon size of Alumilite Clear. Order place on Thursday, it was processed on Friday, I had delivery on Monday.  

With Curtiss's patience and willingness to share his knowledge I have every confidence that my casting efforts will be successful with far fewer "learning opportunities" than if I had watched YouTube videos.

Just got my second jug of Cactus Juice. Amazing how well it works when you do ALL of the steps that Curtis has listed. 

I think I've got a better handle now on ALL of the steps to successful dry blanks. I have them posted in the mixing area of my shop so I don't have to rely on my 68 year old memory cells...

I have purchased several things from Turntex. Alumilite dyes, Alumilite casting resins and Cactus Juice. The delivery was prompt. The packaging was as it should be. The thing that stands out to me about Turntex, but more specifically Mr. Seebeck, is that I have called him several times to ask questions about the products, and the procedures to use for those products. He took the time to explain them to me. This was before I had purchased anything from him! He has a wealth of information to share that is accurate and concise. He will tell you exactly what you need, how to use it and what to watch out for so that you can be successful in your usage of the product. What more could you want? This is customer service at its finest.

I am so far pleased with the ordering of my first product from TurnTex. Since I'm gearing up for some projects in stages I can't comment yet on actually using the chamber or stabilizing solution. I'll have to report back at a later date.

I am new to wood stabilizing but after watching several great videos on YouTube I thought I would give it a try. Cactus Juice is easy to set up and use. It is not messy to work with and the clean up is easy. The spalted White Oak blank that I stabilized looks great and was really easy to work with on the lathe. The product worked so well that I have already placed my second order!

I am new to wood stabilizing. I did a lot of research and it all led to Turn Tex. My first order came in at least 3 days before it was scheduled. There was a sheet of instructions designed to keep newbies from messing up. I certainly need it. In addition, there is a wealth of information on the Turn Tex web site on stabilizing wood and casting blanks. I have wanted to stabilize wood for a long time but had a hard time figuring out what I needed and the specifics of how to do it. The only reason I haven't stabilized yet is I don't have my toaster oven yet. I was promised one but it hasn't shown up yet. As soon as it does, I'm confident I will be successful because of what Turn Tex provides.  

I've used Cactus juice for a few years and really like it.I always ordered from another retailer until this time when i ordered direct,and i was definitely impressed.Everything went very smooth,shipping was fast,and great follow up all around.
